DAY 3 ACCESS CONFERENCE SERMON

By Rev. Dr. Benjamin Amoah
Theme: Boldness, Access & Confident Asking
Text: Ephesians 3:12 – “In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through our faith in Him.”

INTRODUCTION

Saints of God, tonight we have gathered under the covering of grace, under the banner of Christ’s finished work. We have not come as beggars. We have come as sons and daughters who have access. We have come as people who are joint-heirs with Christ, people whom God has purchased with His own blood, people whom God has opened the door wide for — and said, “Come boldly.”

The problem for many believers is not God’s willingness, but our expectations. And tonight, the Lord is shifting our expectations.
Tonight, God is teaching us to ask big, believe big, and expect big.

1. DON’T COME TO GOD AS A BEGGAR — COME AS A SON

I said earlier: When you give a beggar a £5 note, it’s a big day for him.
But you see, you are not a beggar.

A beggar does not expect much.
A beggar is used to small things.
A beggar is grateful for scraps.
A beggar thinks even the smallest blessing is too much.

But sons
Heirs
People with access

— They don’t beg.
— They ask boldly.
— They come expecting the Father to respond.

And the Bible says in Ephesians 3:12, “We have boldness and access with confidence.”
Your confidence is not arrogance; it is faith in Christ’s finished work.

2. YOUR EXPECTATION SHAPES YOUR REALITY

Hear me well: Your expectation will become your reality.

If you are the kind of person who asks but always believes the answer will come “one day, someday, far in the future,” then that’s exactly how it will be for you.

But if you are someone who says,

“God, I trust You. I want it here and now. I am expecting You to act in this moment.”

Then you will begin to see here-and-now answers.

Faith brings the far into the present.
Expectation pulls tomorrow into today.
Hope stretches your hand into heaven and brings down what God has already given.

3. MAKE GOD YOUR FIRST RESORT, NOT YOUR LAST

Too many believers treat God like an emergency door.

You try everything.
You call everybody.
You use all your connections.
You test every human method…
And when all fails, then you finally say, “Let me pray.”

But listen:
Don’t come to God after you have exhausted everything else.
Come to God first.
Go to Him quickly.

Even when you are sick and on your way to the hospital, pray first.
Tell God, “Lord, You are my Healer. As I go, go ahead of me. Let Your hand rest on the doctors. Let Your healing flow.”

Do not let the pharmacy be your first point of call.
Let God be your first point of call.

4. BE SPECIFIC WHEN YOU PRAY

Beloved, vague prayers produce vague answers.

Don’t just pray: “O God, help me.”
What help do you want?

Are you believing God for the fruit of the womb?
Then say it.
Speak it.
Declare it.

“I want a son. I want twins. I want two boys.”
Be specific.

But many believers say:
“Oh, whatever God gives me is fine.”

Even though that sounds humble, it often comes from fear, from a lack of confidence that God will actually give you exactly what you ask for.

Tonight, God is correcting that mindset.
Ask clearly.
Ask boldly.
Ask specifically — because you have access.

5. EXPECT MERCY AND GRACE, NOT JUDGMENT

When you come before God, expect mercy. Expect grace.
Why?

Because every judgment that God should have put on you…
He put it on Christ at the cross.

So when you come, come without fear.
Come without shame.
Come without condemnation.

Come boldly because the Judge has become your Father.
Come confidently because the Throne has become the Throne of Grace.

6. MAKE BOLD DECLARATIONS — BOAST IN THE LORD

There are times when you must open your mouth and speak boldly.

Say, “My Redeemer lives.”
Say, “This situation is not permanent.”
Say, “My God will step into this matter.”
Say, “I know whom I have believed.”

People around you may think you are speaking too boldly.
Let them think what they want.
You are not boasting in yourself — you are boasting in the Lord.

If God promised it…
If He wrote it…
If He said it…
Then He means it.

And He means it for you.

7. UNDERSTAND YOUR POSITION — YOU ARE A JOINT HEIR WITH CHRIST

Romans 8 says we are heirs of God and joint-heirs with Christ.
That means everything Christ had access to — you also have access to.

Let me say it again:

Everything Christ had access to…
Every resource…
Every blessing…
Every spiritual gift…
Every heavenly privilege…

— you have access to it.

Paul says, “All things are yours.”
Why?
Because all things are Christ’s, and you are joined to Him.

In the Old Testament, we were aliens.
We were far away.
We had no access.

But through the finished work of Christ, we now have access with confidence.

8. CHANGE YOUR ATTITUDE WHEN YOU APPROACH GOD

From today, my brother, my sister — change your posture in prayer.

Come boldly.
Come confidently.
Come as a son.
Come as a daughter.
Come as a joint-heir.
Come as someone who knows they are loved.
Come as someone who knows God is listening.
Come as someone who knows heaven is open to them.

And when you approach God with that attitude, God is pleased.
He delights in bold faith.
And He will do the very thing you have asked Him to do.

CONCLUSION

You have access.
You have confidence.
You have boldness.
You are a son.
You are a daughter.
You are a joint-heir.
You are loved.
You are accepted.
You are welcome.

So tonight — ask big.
Believe big.
Expect big.

Walk in the boldness Christ died to give you.
And watch God do what only God can do.

BENEDICTION

The Lord richly bless you.
May the grace of God abound toward you.
May your expectations become your reality.
May your boldness bring answers.
May your confidence open doors.
May you walk in everything Christ has given you.
In Jesus’ mighty name — Amen.
